A quiet, peaceful birthday today

This was written yesterday – May 23rd – but I forgot to hit ‘publish’.

After a couple of weeks of significant work drama, and recent pain-flled days and nights, it was nice to have a very quiet, peaceful birthday today.

I am so richly blessed. I have two sons who are both incredible young men. I have a beautiful home and many, many luxuries most in the world only dream of.

I am very conscious of Life and the Lessons we are given.

I am deeply grateful for everything and welcome a new year of learning opportunities!

Journaling has never been easy for me so doing this began as a way to convey wisdom to my sons (or that’s what I told myself!).

I now find it very therapeutic and do it whenever I realize a Life Lesson has been learned. I’m also hoping one day when I’m gone my sons will appreciate having these thoughts from their mom.
